Labor and Delivery

There are certain types of injuries, which occur during labor and delivery that may be preventable with proper medical care. These occur for a variety of reasons and can include a physician who is not properly trained to perform the delivery or is unequipped to handle a difficult delivery and a physician who is not properly informed about the mother's labor. Injuries that are recognized after birth, which may be preventable, are Cerebral Palsy, Erb's Palsy resulting from shoulder dystocio, and other forms of brain damage.

If you are concerned that your child may have an injury that was caused by improper medical care, you should consult an attorney immediately to investigate the matter, as there are strict time limitations for pursuing these types of cases.
